Some photographs deserve more than a screen.

The ones on your phone right now, the wedding, the trip, the first ten years of a child. We turn them into a hardcover book, one page at a time, that stays out on the table and gets picked up for years.

From ₹8,000 for a 10-page book, in 10 or 12 inch square. Delivered anywhere in India, two to three weeks after you approve the design.

Nobody scrolls through a coffee table book. They sit down with it.

That is the whole idea. A photograph on a phone gets a second of attention. The same photograph, printed large on heavy paper and sitting open on a table, gets looked at, and talked about, and found again years later by someone who wasn’t there.

We make the book itself. Not a template you fill in. One of our designers takes your photographs and decides which one should run across both pages, which three belong together, where a date or a name sits, how much white space a quiet picture needs. Every book comes out different because every set of photographs is.

You don’t need to be a photographer. Most of what we’re sent was taken on a phone, and it prints beautifully once we’ve colour-corrected it. If a picture really is too soft to use, we say so before we start, not after.

And it’s made to be handled. Heavy art paper, a hardcover in linen or laminate, a spine that opens flat. The kind of book that gets passed around a room.

The books people ask us for

Most start with an occasion. Some start with a phone that’s simply full, and a feeling that these ought to be somewhere better.

The wedding

Not the highlights reel. The whole day, including the photos nobody posted: your mother fixing your dupatta, the cousins asleep in the car on the way home.

The family

Ten years of birthdays, holidays, first days of school and ordinary Sundays, in one place at last. These are the books that get taken down most often.

A sixtieth

A life in pictures, for the person who already has everything. Collected quietly from siblings and old albums, and opened in front of the whole family.

The trip

One trip, laid out the way you remember it rather than the order you shot it. The food and the detours get a page too.

The company

Twenty years of a business, a client gift, or the one book that sits in reception and says more than the brochure does.

The work

For artists, photographers and performers. A portfolio someone can hold is remembered long after a link is closed.

What happens after you message us

Almost all of it takes place on WhatsApp, in your own time. You see every page before anything is printed, and nothing moves forward without your yes.

  1. 1

    We talk

Message us on +91 98678 00451 and tell us who the book is for and how you want it to feel. We’ll walk you through sizes, binding and page count, and send a written quote. Books are made on 100% advance payment, which also holds your slot.

  2. 2

    You send the photos

Everything, in one go, from your phone, camera or Google Drive. Don’t sort them. We go through each one, set aside anything too soft to print, colour-correct the rest and pick the ones strong enough to run across a full spread. Thirty photos is enough to make a book.

  3. 3

    We design it

A designer lays out every spread by hand and chooses type to suit the book. Names, dates, captions and quotes go in exactly as you send them. The cover is designed with you.

  4. 4

    You approve it

You get a full PDF proof of every page. Take your time with it. Two rounds of changes are included, and nothing is printed until you tell us, in writing, that you’re happy.

  5. 5

    We print it

Production takes two weeks from the day you approve the layout. Pages are printed on 200 to 250 GSM art paper on colour-calibrated machines, and each one is checked before it goes to binding.

  6. 6

    We bind it

The pages are bound, the boards go on, the spine is reinforced and the book is pressed flat. Gold or silver foil on the cover, and a slipcase, are there if you want them.

  7. 7

    It reaches you

Wrapped in tissue and packed to travel. You get a tracking number on WhatsApp the day it leaves us. Mumbai takes 1 to 2 working days and the rest of India 4 to 7. In Mumbai, we often bring it over ourselves.

Three ways to bind it

The binding decides how the book opens and how long it lasts. Most people choose lay-flat. If you can’t decide, ask us and we’ll tell you what we’d pick for your photos.

Lay-flat
What we usually recommend
For weddings, travel and wide shots

Pages open completely flat, so a photo can run across both pages without disappearing into the spine.

  • Nothing lost in the middle of a spread
  • Lies flat on the table
  • Pages don’t crack along the fold
Case bound
Formal, and built for a shelf

Rigid boards and a reinforced spine, with the pages sewn in sections. Covers in linen, leatherette or laminated paper, with foil titling.

  • The classic hardback look
  • Suits corporate and heritage books
  • Linen, leatherette or foil cover
Thread sewn
For a book that gets handed down

Sections sewn together with thread, the oldest and strongest way to bind a book. It can be opened thousands of times without loosening.

  • The most durable binding we offer
  • Still opens almost flat
  • Right for family histories and heirlooms

Two sizes

Both are square and open sideways into a wide spread, which is a lot of what makes photos look good at this scale.

10 × 10 inches

25 × 25 cm closed, 50 × 25 cm open. Our standard size, and the one most families choose.

12 × 12 inches

30 × 30 cm closed, 60 × 30 cm open. Better for weddings, corporate books and large collections.

Both come on 200 to 250 GSM art paper, in hardcover with a linen or laminate finish, from 10 pages up.

What it costs

The price depends on one thing: how many pages. You’ll have the full figure in writing before we start.

₹8,000

The base book, 10 pages

Ten pages means twenty sides to fill. It includes design, two rounds of changes, printing, and a hardcover in either size.

₹800 per extra side

Every page after the tenth

Each extra page has two sides, so it adds ₹1,600. A photo across a full spread uses two sides. There’s no upper limit.

For example, 15 pages is ₹16,000, 20 pages is ₹24,000 and 30 pages is ₹40,000. Delivery within Mumbai is free. Elsewhere, we quote by pincode when you order.

Work out your book

₹24,000
₹8,000 for the first 10 pages, plus 10 more pages at ₹1,600 each.

Foil titling, a slipcase and delivery outside Mumbai are quoted separately.

What we need from you

Almost everyone asks this before they start, so here it is in one place. A book like this is made together, and these are the parts that sit with you.

Your side of it

  1. All your photos, in one go
From your phone, camera, Drive or WhatsApp, in any order. If more arrive after design has started, we have to lay the book out again.
  2. The occasion and the date, on day one
A deadline we hear about on day ten may be one we can’t meet.
  3. Names and dates spelled correctly
Captions, quotes, a dedication. We set them exactly as you send them, so check them first.
  4. One person who signs off
Proofs move fastest with a single approver. For a family or office gift, decide who that is before we begin.
  5. Quick replies on the proof
Two rounds of changes are included. The sooner each comes back, the sooner your book is printed.

  • Nothing is booked yet. This only opens WhatsApp with your message ready, and you can edit it before sending.
  • Not sure about something? Leave it as “Not sure”. Size and page count are what we help you decide.
  • Rather just talk? Message us directly on +91 98678 00451.

Your message will confirm that you understand our two terms: 100% payment in advance, and two weeks of production once your layout is final.

From people who’ve opened theirs

“My parents’ 35th wedding anniversary was coming up and I wanted to do something truly special, not just a party. I collected photos from relatives going back to their wedding day, childhood pictures, our family holidays, everything. LUDIFU put it all together into a 20-page book that made my mother cry happy tears the moment she opened it. My parents have shown it to every single person who has visited since. Worth every rupee.”
Rashmi Kulkarni, Nashik. A book for her parents’ 35th anniversary.
“I made this as a surprise for my daughter’s 10th birthday, ten years of her life, from her first day home to her last birthday. When she opened it, she sat there quietly turning every page. My husband and I were in tears. She still sleeps with it on her bedside table. I’m already planning one for my son. Nothing comes close to this as a gift.”
Preethi Nair, Bangalore. Her daughter’s 10th birthday.
“We went to Goa last December with both my kids and my in-laws, the whole family. I had hundreds of photos on my phone and honestly didn’t know what to do with them. LUDIFU turned them into a beautiful book. The clarity and sharpness from phone photos was far better than I expected, and the layout they sent for approval was so thoughtfully done. It’s now on our centre table and every guest picks it up.”
Meghna Desai, Pune. A family holiday album.
“I recently received this amazing photo album with all my favourite memories: my childhood, my family, my siblings. To see all my life in one book was amazing. My laughter, my yoga times, performances I’ve done, with all my favourite moments captured in one. It’s this amazing concept, a complete gem where all your fondest memories, life achievements, and knock-out events are captured in one space with your favourite people. Go get yours. It’s beautiful. Let us do it for you.”
Sunita Agarwal, Mumbai. A personal life album.
